Puerto Vallarta, or PV as it is commonly called, is a hub of activity for timeshare opportunities. Coupled with fantastic weather and direct flights to many major North American airports, the Pacific Coast city has caught the eye of some of the best timeshare operators in the business.
Attending a timeshare presentation in Puerto Vallarta should be a fairly pleasant experience if you go with a reputable company. Each timeshare developer will have their own style and sales strategies but on the whole the presentations follow a similar recipe and you will find that the former hard-sell tactics are highly unfashionable nowadays.
Meet and Greet
Upon arrival at a timeshare presentation in Puerto Vallarta you will probably be served light refreshments, breakfast or some kind of snack, depending on the time of your appointment. You will usually have to register your attendance, which is particularly important if you have accepted a discounted vacation in return for attending the presentation as you will have to pay the full cost of your accommodation if you do not show up to the presentation.
Conference Style Talk
Usually the first contact you have with the product being sold is delivered by a senior member of the timeshare group. The presentation is usually a combination of multimedia and speeches and you will be in a larger room with other potential buyers like yourself. You will be introduced to the history of the timeshare company, the resort, and vacation club affiliations etc and the benefits of becoming an vacation home owner.
Timeshare Units up close
After the main talk, you will be allocated your personal guide who will talk you through all the accommodations available, showing you floor plans, photos, lists of amenities and so forth. At this point you should share what you want from your vacations and the kind of units you might be interested in purchasing.
Prices
The following stage will be to talk about how much the units will cost and the price of maintenance fees. If you have little possibility of buying a unit, you might want to mention this to the seller at this point. You may even get a discount!
The Tour
Now that you know the prices and the kind of investment necessary, you will be taken on a tour of the resort and the accommodations. Take some time to note the kind of services on offer, how happy the guests look and imagine if you would like to spend your vacations there.
Signing the Contract
The last thing you will be encouraged to do is to sign a contract agreeing to purchase a timeshare at the resort. To receive any additional benefits offered on the day, you will have to sign at the presentation. However, take care that all the clauses on the contract are the same as you have agreed. Always receive confirmation in writing if you are unsure.
Think about this; If timeshares were good enough, Why would any resort give you a tour and a free breakfast to get you to attend their sales presentation?
